What?

I took an unplanned hiatus from blogging. Just because I didn't feel like it.

Stuff's been going on but - well, the truth is, Facebook has somewhat ruined me for blogging.

But I'm still committed. That's why I'm here. Today.

Here's some stuff that's been going on - in random order:
1. Our Bible College reopens for the new year today. This is the first year we have 1st Year and 2nd year students. Very exciting, going to make me very busy - teaching two classes a day, but it's worth it.

2. I've lost 3 birds over the last week, just keeled over dead. Searching for a veterinarian in our city. Very sad.

3. I've realized that my tomato plants are actually baby eggplant plants. Shoot.

4. Today India is "closed." I guess that means they are on strike - the whole country. O. says it's because of the outrageous inflation over here. Hence, not sure if #1 will happen today or not.

More Graduation Stuff

A couple more graduation photos. Our main speaker after being "welcomed."
The graduation procession. It's not a great photo, but C. looked so cute in front I couldn't resist.

Graduation Photos 1

I got the pictures from the photographer from our Graduation/Conference last month. Here's one to start with.

About The Graduation, Etc... I Ain't Foolin'

I’m still trying to catch up on my sleep from the busy weekend.

Our Bible students graduated in a ceremony on Saturday, March 28th. I think it went really well. After that, Sunday and Monday were filled with many meetings and times of fellowship. It was a tight schedule and it was made even more difficult by lugging a 28 day old baby around with me, but she was a trooper – so was I.

It was good to spend time with our pastors, although I wished they could have been a little more involved in the programs. I thank the Lord no one got sick, there were very few accidents – other than something caught on fire in one of the rooms at the conference center and one of our older Karuna Home children slipped while carrying hot water and had to go to the hospital burn unit at 10:30 on Sunday night. He’s OK, burn on his chest.

I also came home hot and tired with several guests on Saturday night after the graduation to find my electricity was out. Sigh.

All in all, it was an excellent time, thanks for your prayers.

I will put up more pictures once I get them from the photographer (which could be after a long time…)

A Picture

We had a photographer at our graduation ceremonies and the pastor's conference this past weekend, so I won't get those pictures in my hand (or computer) for a while, but I took this picture from a friend of mine.

During the graduation they put garlands on us, and Richard Howell (our main speaker) prayed for O. and me. We started our ministry in 1999, so this is our 10th year.

2009 Bible College Graduation

Tomorrow is our Bible College's 2nd graduation. I've been trying to get a post up about it but I wanted to add pictures and that just wasn't happening and then it held everything up. What was I thinking?

So, it's busy around here, real busy. We've had guests coming in since 2 AM last night and they're still coming. Whew. From tonight or tomorrow morning everyone will be at the conference center, so the home hospitality aspect will slow down, but that doesn't take away from the fact that lots of people are coming in from all over India.

We're excited about the fact that the General Secretary of the Evangelical Fellowship of India* is our main speaker tomorrow night at the conference and he'll be with us til Sunday afternoon. The entire conference runs until Monday evening, so three full days.

I'm mostly excited for our Bible Students who worked hard and persevered for the past two years to reach this point. Please pray for them as they move on to follow God's call on their lives. Please keep the whole graduation/conference in prayer, there is a lot to coordinate.
